Gov. Okpebholo Earns Actors Guild Praises Over Roland Igbadumhe’s Appointment and Support to Nollywood

The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu, has commended the Executive Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, for the appointment of Hon. Roland Igbadumhe as Special Adviser on Livestock Developmen

In a statement issued on behalf of the Guild, Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu described the appointment as a reflection of Governor Okpebholo’s visionary leadership and commitment to engaging competent personalities in advancing the developmental aspirations of Edo State.

The Guild noted that Hon. Roland Igbadumhe possesses the capacity, dedication, and administrative competence required to contribute meaningfully to the growth and sustainability of the livestock sector

The AGN President further praised Governor Okpebholo as a dependable supporter of the creative industry and a strong ally of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. According to the statement, the Governor demonstrated remarkable goodwill towards the Guild by hosting the successful AGN National Elections in December 2025, an act widely applauded within the entertainment community.

The Guild also expressed profound appreciation to the Governor for his continuous recognition of Nollywood practitioners, particularly with the appointment of renowned actress Mercy Johnson as Special Adviser shortly after the elections.

“His Excellency has consistently shown genuine support for the creative industry and the Actors Guild of Nigeria through his inclusive leadership and recognition of the contributions of entertainers to national development. We sincerely appreciate his goodwill towards the Guild and the creative community at large,” Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu stated.

He further wished Hon. Roland Igbadumhe a successful tenure and prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and outstanding accomplishments for Governor Okpebholo in the service of Edo State and humanity.
