Actors Guild of Nigeria Partners Travelwings for WIBFF Participation
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has entered into a strategic partnership with Travelwings to facilitate the Guild’s participation in the forthcoming Windsor International Black Film Festival (WIBFF) in Canada.
The partnership, formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Guild’s National Secretariat in Abuja, appoints Travelwings as the official travel partner of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
Under the agreement, Travelwings will provide flight arrangements for AGN members at discounted rates and also assist interested members with Canadian visa processing and travel support ahead of the international film festival.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Yakubu, described the partnership as a significant milestone in the Guild’s ongoing commitment to expanding international opportunities for Nigerian actors and filmmakers.
“This collaboration reflects our determination to create seamless access for our members to global platforms where Nollywood can continue to showcase its creative excellence and cultural influence. We are delighted to partner with Travelwings in making our participation at WIBFF more accessible and professionally coordinated,” he stated.
Representatives of Travelwings reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the creative industry through efficient travel management and international mobility services.
“We are honoured to collaborate with the Actors Guild of Nigeria in this important international engagement. Our goal is to ensure that AGN members enjoy smooth travel experiences, affordable flight options, and professional guidance throughout their visa application processes,” the company stated.
The partnership is expected to strengthen AGN’s international engagements while further promoting Nollywood’s presence on the global stage through strategic collaborations and cultural diplomacy.
