Actors Guild of Nigeria Announces Inauguration and Official Handover Ceremony of Newly Elected National Executive Council

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced that the inauguration and official handover ceremony of its newly elected National Executive Council (NEC) will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the AGN National Secretariat, Plot 125, Ficus Benjamin Street, Gaduwa Housing Estate, Gudu District, Abuja.

The landmark ceremony will feature a keynote address by Engr. Dr. Jani Ibrahim, OON, mni, President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA). The event is also expected to attract distinguished personalities, including members of the legislature, representatives of the diplomatic community, captains of industry, and key stakeholders in the creative sector.

It would be recalled that the Guild conducted a transparent, credible, and peaceful national election in Benin City on December 5, 2025, which culminated in the election of Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu as the National President, alongside other duly elected members of the

National Executive Council.

The Organizing Committee is charged with delivering a landmark inauguration ceremony scheduled to hold on Thursday, 29th January 2026, at the National Secretariat, Abuja—an event intended to celebrate leadership, unity, and the future of the Guild.

The forthcoming inauguration marks the formal commencement of a new administration, anchored on professionalism, unity, and renewed commitment to the advancement of the Nigerian film industry. With this crop of visionary and experienced leaders, the Actors Guild of Nigeria is confidently poised to be repositioned for greater growth, global relevance, and higher heights.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria hereby invites stakeholders, partners, and the general public to join in celebrating this significant milestone in the life of the Guild.
