Actors Guild of Nigeria Takes Centre Stage in London at UK–Nigeria Creative Roundtable & Awards







The Actors Guild of Nigeria, in partnership with Elegant Flix 3DM Magazine, successfully hosted the UK–Nigeria Creative Roundtable and Awards in London, drawing a high-calibre audience of industry leaders, investors, and creatives.

The event spotlighted Nollywood’s growing global influence while emphasizing the urgent need for structured government support to drive sustainable growth in Nigeria’s creative sector.

In his remarks, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Alhaji Sanusi Abubakar Yakubu, called on investors to tap into the industry’s vast opportunities. He highlighted the proposed five-storey Nollywood headquarters as a strategic investment poised to strengthen the Guild’s operations and industry capacity.

Also speaking, High Chief Florence Okonkwo, CEO of Elegant Flix 3DM Magazine, expressed gratitude to guests for their support and reaffirmed her commitment to promoting African storytelling globally.

The event concluded with an  segment celebrating excellence in film and media, further reinforcing the strong creative and cultural ties between the UK and Nigeria.
