Aftermath of AGN Election Victory: Onu Igala General, Alhaji Mohammed Shaibu Salifu, Offers Special Prayers for AGN President-Elect



In the aftermath of his historic victory at the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) national elections, the President-elect, Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu, received special prayers in Lagos from the Onu Igala General in Lagos State, Alhaji Mohammed Shaibu Salifu, in a gathering marked by goodwill and unity.

While offering the prayers, Alhaji Salifu described Yakubu’s emergence as “a source of pride not only to the Guild but to the entire Igala nation,” affirming that the Igala people are proud of him and “solidly behind him to ensure he succeeds.” He prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and peace, noting that Yakubu’s leadership comes at a defining moment for the Guild.

Responding, Yakubu expressed gratitude for the spiritual support and solidarity, describing it as deeply encouraging. “I am humbled by the confidence reposed in me. This mandate belongs to all AGN members, and with the support of our people and stakeholders, we will move the Guild to greater heights,” he said.

The prayer session reflects the growing wave of support trailing Yakubu’s election and reinforces the spirit of unity and collective commitment as AGN prepares for a new era of purposeful leadership.
