Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu has been elected the 9th National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in a keenly contested election held in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The Kogi State–born thespian won by a slim margin of three votes, defeating his sole opponent, Hon. Rita Daniel Chukwuji, in what observers widely praised as a transparent and highly engaging electoral process.
