DEPUTY MAJORITY LEADER, RT. HON. IBRAHIM HALIMS, ENDORSES ALHAJI ABUBAKAR SANUSI YAKUBU FOR ACTORS GUILD OF NIGERIA PRESIDENCY

In a gesture of encouragement and solidarity, the Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Halims, has officially endorsed the candidacy of Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu, the leading contender for the Presidency of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

The endorsement took place during a courtesy visit by Alhaji Yakubu to the lawmaker at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

During the visit, Alhaji Yakubu commended Rt. Hon. Halims for his visionary representation and impactful developmental projects across the Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State. He particularly applauded the legislator’s efforts in road construction, youth empowerment initiatives, and other people-oriented programs that have significantly uplifted the living standards of his constituents.

Responding, Rt. Hon. Halims extolled Alhaji Yakubu’s courage, leadership qualities, and national outlook, describing his decision to contest the AGN presidency as both bold and historic, noting that the position has never been occupied by a northerner since the Guild’s inception more than 25 years ago.

In his response, Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for his encouragement and endorsement, pledging to promote equity, professionalism, and sustainable reforms within the Guild if elected.
