AHEAD OF AGN ELECTION, ALHAJI ABUBAKAR YAKUBU RECEIVES ROYAL BLESSINGS AND ENDORESMENT OF HRM ATTAH IGALA,



Idah, Kogi State – In a display of cultural respect and grassroots connection, frontline contender for the National Presidency of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Abubakar Sanusi Yakubu, has received royal prayers and endorsement from His Royal Majesty, Dr. Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, the Attah Igala, during a courtesy visit to the palace in Idah on friday.

Yakubu, who is vying for the highest office in the Guild in the forthcoming national election, paid homage to the revered monarch to formally inform him of his ambition and seek his fatherly blessings.

The Attah Igala commended Yakubu for his humility and sense of respect for traditional institutions, describing him as a worthy son of the land with the vision and capacity to reposition the Guild. He offered special prayers for Yakubu’s success, urging him to pursue unity, empowerment, and institutional growth within the actors’ body if elected.


In his remarks, Yakubu expressed deep appreciation to the monarch for his words of encouragement and blessings. He reiterated his commitment to building on past achievements of the Guild, uniting members across the country, and strengthening the professional and welfare structures of the association.

“My vision is to unite the Guild, build stronger institutional structures, and create real empowerment opportunities for our members. With God’s grace and the support of our people, we will take AGN to greater heights,” Yakubu stated.

The courtesy visit, witnessed by friends, colleagues, members of Igawood, palace chiefs and cultural custodians, further underlines 

Yakubu’s growing support base as he continues consultations with stakeholders ahead of the AGN national elections.
